One For Sorrow

A set of posters designed with the influence of the magpie nursery rhyme, ‘One For Sorrow’ and visiting the House of MINA LIMA exhibition in London. Since I heard this song, a while ago I have been obsessed with it since. It‘s also quite superstitious. Not only was it to keep myself busy over the summer months, I wanted to see what would happen if I tried vector illustrations, with flat colour and an art deco style typeface with the mindset to carry this series on to complete the rhyme.

So far, this project stopped at Three For A Girl. I'm yet to produce more designs for the rest of the rhyme. I have ideas to transform these posters into postcards, a book, magnets, coasters, bags, t-shirts etc. And perhaps, sell these on Etsy or Redbubble when the opportunity arises. I also would like to see how these prints would look screen printed.
